The Animal Groups feature in the Moocall Breedmanager app allows you to organise animals into groups and quickly filter information using Smart Lists.
This makes it easier to manage different categories of animals on your farm, such as heifers, cows close to calving, or animals requiring attention.
Before using this feature, make sure you are running the latest version of the Moocall app.
Creating an Animal Group
You can create groups to organise animals based on your herd management needs.
Go to Menu
Select Animal Groups
Select ADD NEW GROUP
Enter the name for the new animal group
Click OK

Adding an Animal to a Group
Once a group has been created, you can add individual animals to it.
This allows you to quickly track specific animals inside the app.
Go to Menu
Select Manage your Herd
At the bottom, select HERD OVERVIEW
Select the Breeding Cattle list
Choose the animal you want to add by touching and holding the screen for 2 seconds. The cow selected will be shadowed in grey.
Click in the Edit icon at the top right corner.
Select CHANGE GROUP
Choose the group and and click on CHANGE GROUP at the bottom of your screen.

Adding Multiple Animals to a Group
If you want to organise several animals at once, you can add multiple animals to a group simultaneously.
This is useful when managing larger herds.
Go to Menu
Select Manage your Herd
At the bottom, select HERD OVERVIEW
Select the Breeding Cattle list
Choose the animal you want to add by touching and holding the screen for 2 seconds. The cow selected will be shadowed in grey.
Repeat the previous step for all the cows you want to add to the group.
Click in the Edit icon at the top right corner.
Select CHANGE GROUP
Choose the group and and click on CHANGE GROUP at the bottom of your screen.

Filtering Smart Lists
Once animals are grouped, you can use Smart Lists to filter and view specific groups.
This helps you quickly identify animals that require attention.
Go to Menu
Select Manage your Herd
Next to the title Herd Overview, select All animals
Choose the group you want to filter
