If you are unsure whether your Moocall RFID tags are being detected correctly, you can generate a Tag Report.

This allows you to see exactly which tags the collar is reading.

To generate the tag report, follow these steps:

  1. Place the collar in an area where cows will pass nearby

  2. Ensure animals pass within approximately 2 metres of the collar

  3. The light on the collar will flash green for 1 second each time it reads a tag

  4. Log in to your Moocall account on a computer (not the app in your phone)

  5. Go to Reports > Select Cows Read By Collar > Download the Tag Report

What the Tag Report Shows

The report will display all RFID tags detected by the collar. This helps confirm whether your collar and tags are working correctly.

You will see you cow's name, cow number and Moocall tag. If you see something like this (no name and a 9 digit number that doesn't match any of your tags), it means the tag is faulty:

What If a Tag Is Missing?

If a tag does not appear in the report, it may be:

  • Lost

  • Damaged

  • Not assigned correctly in the app

  • Not passing close enough to the collar
