Moocall HEAT will notify you at the onset of heat, meaning you receive an alert when the heat period begins.
What Should I Do After Receiving an Alert?
Once you receive a heat alert, we recommend following the:
AM–PM Rule
If a cow is detected in heat in the morning (AM) → inseminate in the evening (PM)
If detected in the evening (PM) → inseminate the next morning (AM)
Alternatively, you can inseminate 12–16 hours after receiving the alert.
Why This Timing Works
Ovulation typically occurs 24–32 hours after the start of heat
Inseminating earlier allows sperm to be present before ovulation
This increases the chances of a successful pregnancy.
