There is no fixed time for a cow to move from ‘Fresh Cows’ to ‘Cycling’.
A cow will only leave the ‘Fresh Cows’ list when a heat or insemination is recorded.
Step-by-Step: How It Works
1. Calving is recorded
The cow enters the Fresh Cows list
2. First heat is recorded (manual or automatic)
The cow moves to In Heat
3. After the heat ends
The cow is automatically moved to Cycling
Important
There is no automatic time-based move from Fresh Cows to Cycling
If no heat is recorded, the cow will remain in Fresh Cows
The app needs a first heat event to start tracking the cycle
Using Moocall HEAT
If you are using the Moocall HEAT system:
The first heat will be detected automatically
The cow will move through the lists without manual input
