Why Am I Not Receiving SMS Alerts?

If you are not receiving SMS alerts from your Moocall sensor, please check the following.

1. Check the Sensor Is Connected

The sensor must be powered on and connected to the network to send alerts.

A properly connected sensor should show a flashing blue light approximately every 5 seconds.

If the device is flashing multiple colours, it means the sensor is still trying to connect to the network and will not be able to send alerts yet.

2. Perform an SMS Test

You can check that the sensor is connected and that your phone number is correctly linked by performing an SMS test.

When the device is flashing blue, press the button twice quickly.

The light will flash green rapidly and you should receive a confirmation SMS.

If you do not receive this message, there may be a network or phone number issue.

3. Check the Phone Number Connected

Make sure the correct phone number is linked to your sensor.

You can check or update the phone number directly in the Moocall App:

  1. Open the Moocall App

  2. Go to My Moocall

  3. Select your device

  4. Update the phone number for SMS alerts

If you are unable to change the number in the app, please contact Moocall support and we can update it for you.

4. Check Mobile Signal

If the sensor is located in an area with poor mobile coverage, alerts may not be sent.

Try performing the SMS test again in an area with better signal.

5. Check Your Spam or Blocked Messages

In some cases, SMS messages may be filtered by your phone or mobile carrier.

Please check your spam or blocked messages folder to make sure the alerts are not being blocked.
