It is important to remember that, much like a smartphone, the Moocall calving sensor is an electronic device.
Water Resistance
When the charge cap is securely closed, the sensor is water-resistant.
However, it is very important that no water enters the electronics of the device.
โ ๏ธ If water enters the charging port, it may damage the sensor.
Cleaning the Sensor
To clean the device:
Use a damp cloth or soft brush to remove dirt or bedding.
Wipe the outer casing gently.
This is usually enough to keep the sensor clean during the calving season.
Cleaning the Red Rubber
The internal red rubber can be removed if needed.
You can:
Remove the rubber liner from the sensor.
Wash it separately with water.
Allow it to dry completely before placing it back in the sensor.
Important
โ ๏ธ Do not submerge the Moocall sensor in water.
The device should never be immersed in water, as this may damage the electronics.
Tip
Always ensure the charge cap is securely closed after charging or cleaning to protect the device from water ingress.
